Sorry, the wife has so many windows open on this computer, afaid to open anymore now. Amf roadmaster bike serial numbers. Starting in '38 the two top bars were farther apart and a 'Hanging Tank' was available. The first two years of production the two top bars were close together and no tank was available. I looked at your CWC pics and what I saw is either a '36 or a '37 CWC. Your have the prior as I do - I have a '36 CWC which is not a Roadmaster but possibly a Hawthorne due to the horizontal badge mounting holes (no badge).
- You have to be level 7, I believe, to be able to evolve plants. Until then they just sparkle at you..
- Hi Pooky -
Yes, I had this happen, too. What I did was wait until the plant was ready to harvest, then I deleted the original plant and planted the best of the harvested fruit in its place. That gave it an instant boost and although it took a little while longer to reach the next evolve level (as it had to grow first) it was no biggy in my game as my Sims are always busy at other things anyway. - Thanks @1need4kaffee and @Jaline33. I'm going to follow your suggestion Jaline33!

- Dang! I planted new fruit from the plants that won't evolve and now the new plants are sparkling and I still don't have the option to evolve them! So frustrating! I guess I will buy new seed packets and see if that will work? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
- What gardening skill level is your sim? You can't evolve plants until the sim is a certain level.0
@songsmith2003.. Ya know, I think she is still at level 1 because this time my sim only planted two plants. This isn't my usual play style because I usually play where my sim plants several plants, so she may be at a higher level by the time the plants are ready to evolve and I never noticed what level that was. Do you know what level the sim needs to be at to evolve plants? I looked on the Carl's Guide site and I didn't see it mentioned. Thanks! What gardening skill level is your sim? You can't evolve plants until the sim is a certain level.- I planted an apple and plantium?/ banana tree, got them both to they were perfect, it took until I was level 7 before they were both perfect pristine. then I took sample of the apple and grafted it to the banana, deleted the apple I need the space. grew carrots and grapes, and when they were grown grafted them onto the banana, now I have all four growing from one plant. I would have lemons with it but I'm not allowed out. lol
- Dang again! I did more research and found out that evolving happens at level 2!! I guess I never noticed the level before because I usually have a larger garden and all the work tending to the plants would put me at level 2 without me even noticing. Horray! So, I'm going to continue my game, get to level 2, and let you know if the issue is resolved.

Looks like your sim needs to be at Gardening level 5. (I had trouble finding it also. It's in the table where he explains what your sim can do at each level. It was a little easier for me to find because I remembered it was an odd number.)0- @songsmith2003.. thanks, but Carl's Guide is saying you can fertilize at level 5 which helps the plants to evolve faster. I'll let you know what happens when I get to level 2.
- Oh, whoops! Look who can't read. >> I did think it was a level thing. Maybe it was fertilizing I hoped for so I could use my icky fish. Just out of curiosity, are your plants happy? I have no idea if they can be evolved if they aren't or if they will sparkle like they're ready to evolve if mood affects them.
Wow. That probably didn't make a lot of sense, and English is my native tongue. I had surgery today and am still a little weird.0 - I hope surgery went well, @songsmith2003. And, yes I do know what you mean. They are very happy little plants.
Well, guess what? I reached level 2 and was able to evolve my plants! Yippee!! Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. - Interesting! Maybe you need to be level 2. I wonder. It doesn't take long to level up to that so maybe no one ever noticed. It makes sense to me that you would need a little more know-how to do that.
And, thanks. It went find. Just sleepy and owie but am tired of napping/staring at TV.0 - Wow.. and now I know something new.. Level 2 to evolve. You're likely right about why folks may not have noticed this.
- Regardless of what level they need to be at, the option won't appear at all (greyed out or not) if your sim isn't already at the right level to evolve.
If you're getting a greyed out option, the problem is with the plant.Dissatisfied with Sims 4 and hoping for a better Sims 5 - Regardless of what level they need to be at, the option won't appear at all (greyed out or not) if your sim isn't already at the right level to evolve.

Nope, I wasn't getting a greyed out option. I just wasn't at level 2 yet to get the option at all. Thanks!

Sims 4 Evolve All Plants Mod
- I agree with this 100% I have a big garden in the backyard full of flowers, fruits and veggies and it would be very helpful to click just one button to evolve all the plants instead of clicking evolve 30+ times.
- I would prefer they remain seperate as my gardens tend to be on the rather large side.
I'd prefer that they finish up the essentials first.
An 'evolve all' option would be a nice compromise no? - I wouldn't mind 'evolve all' either but not just evolve added to tend. Tend is all the steps required to keep the plants in good shape. out of the red. Evolve is a separate step. Also sometimes in a larger household you have to keep some plants at a lower level than perfect so that the next sim can get the achievement needed for the aspiration if it were added to tend it could muck up those going for those achievements.3
- Yeah, I agree with the Evolve All. Or at least treat Evolve like you do Spray For Bugs, Water, and Weed. Why is the game so inconsistent with the Evolve action?

You know, I was going to say: 'Yes, make Evolve part of Tend Garden,' but you made a very good point. My Sims have been in that situation.
Thank you for that.1 - My Sims have been evolving 2 plants for every 1 command lately. Not sure if it is a bug but I hope it stays that way. I always wind up with huge gardens and big families so micro managing the garden is a pain.

This has been happening to me also. It's newish and not sure when it was patched in.
And thank you @TheLibrarySim . I do have another reason I wouldn't just want it added to the tend garden part. Say you have a huge garden and you have ignored it for a bit. Most of your plants are in the orange or red. I'd rather just take care of the plants basic needs in that instance also. My sim might be tired by the time they finish just that part of the gardening or they might need to go to work ect. That step takes time and energy and can sometimes just wait.
As I said though I wouldn't mind an evolve all possibility. You could always cancel the action if you only wanted them to do a few.
I often use clubs and I'll send my sim to harvest the plants then bring in the club to do the gardening. My sim will evolve and fertilize the plants. If they made any changes to gardening I wish they'd take out the harvest option for clubs..2 - edited June 2017
Another excellent point, @Hermitgirl My Sims usually grow a large garden for retirement income. Work a job until the plants are in great shape, and then live off the produce. I also plant a big garden at one of the cabins in Granite Falls. Any Sim who vacations there can earn enough to pay for the trip, and most of the plants are local, so they can work on their Herbalism skill. But I'd rather have them enjoying the scenic splendor than Evolving plants, so it makes sense to not have it under Tend Garden.
Hmmm.. I'm guessing that the development team raised these points when they were designing gardening.1 - Ya, it's so funny to have to keep telling your sim to keep working the garden every few seconds. I have to keep a close eye on my sim or she runs off to do anything but the gardening. Maybe Maxis should make the skill a little more fun for the poor sims.
- I don't think evolving the plants should be a thing at all I think the plants should grow by themselvesthe sims 4 isn't getting new whims right now and I think they have dropped them all together if we want new whims in sims 4 we need to tweet the gurus and tell them we like whims
- I don't think evolving the plants should be a thing at all I think the plants should grow by themselves
It's just a system to show how well a sim takes care of the garden. If it's neglected, you'll only have nice plants...if you're good at keeping up with them maybe you'll have great plants...but for a sim to have a super green thumb and love outdoorsy things? The evolve will make them into magnificent plants. So rather it's more of a way to see the sims progress rather than the plant itself evolving1
